Antarctica New Zealand is the government agency responsible for carrying out New Zealand’s activities in Antarctica, supporting world leading science and environmental protection.
The Marine Lab project is a bespoke floor heating system imbedded into the floor of the container. The floor functions as a shallow marine environment for the purpose of researching sub Antarctic marine life in localized conditions. The element ensure that the circulated water remains at a temperature above freezing point and representative of the sea conditions beneath the ice shelf.
